Our Vice President has begun the work of organization of our Junior Division and we have opened conversation with our web hosting firm to update our web page and increase the information on the site and the use of the calendar and even payment of dues in the 2017 calendar year. Any suggestions please contact any board member or feel free to personally call my cell at 845-782-2345 or work number of 783-1811. Both items will be discussed further at our meeting of February 12, 2016.

Our Division was active in January with the annual Fleming Scholarship Fundraiser with a good amount of work by Brothers Chris DeBold and Don Higgins. Also once again our very strong support of the Right to Life movement in Washington which I will ask Brother Keith Reynolds to update us on as he marched with members of the State Board.

I would like to thank our members and their families for the continued support of our Division, and I hope to see you at our next meeting or one of the many events coming up.

Please consider rental of our hall for the next family party or family event, please see Brother Ken Quinn for additional information.

From the President's Desk

I am preparing my first statement as the new President of the Joseph Duelk, Jr., Division 1 Ancient Order of Hibernians. I must qualify this statement with the fact that this is the second time in my life I will be serving our Brotherhood as President. I have served in many positions of the Executive Board when I was younger.

I am in awe of what our Worthy Immediate Past President George Anderson has completed in his terms as Vice President and then President of our Division for the past two years.

I have seen the interest in our Order begin to grow again and the respect of the membership increase in their confidence of the Board. Worthy President Anderson has truly governed our Division with the principals of Friendship, Unity and Christian Charity.

Brother Anderson’s administration will be a very difficult administration to follow, I am honored that George will be a VERY ACTIVE BOARD member of our Division as Immediate Past President.

Brother Anderson, I speak not only as a member of 33 years in our Division, nor only as a present member of the Executive Board, but now as President of the Joseph Duelk, Jr., Division 1, Ancient Order of Hibernians, job well done my friend. On behalf of the membership and the new Board, thank you for sharing your time, your family and your talents with our Division.

May God Bless you and your family, may the simple joys of your life continue to grow under the guidance of all of your good deeds and hard work. May your blessings outnumber the stars in the skies.

I wish to also thank our Division for the trust you have placed in my ability to continue the advancement and growth of our entity.

During my tenure as President of our Division, I look forward this coming year to begin a Jr. membership drive at the two area Catholic High Schools of John S. Burke High School and Dom Bosco Preparatory High School, both being private Roman Catholic Schools that believe and support Catholic Education for our children or grandchildren.

I wish to continue to work with the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Mary of the Gael Division 5, St. Brendan’s GAA Gaelic Football and the Orange County Division 1 Pipes and Drums, as all of our organizations wish to support our Church and our youth in knowing their sense of faith, family and service to others.

On behalf of the Executive Board of the Joseph Duelk, Jr., Division 1, Ancient Order of Hibernians please accept, our warmest regard’s and prayers for our members and their family members this coming year.

May God bless you and your family physically, mentally and spiritually, in our motto of Friendship, Unity, and Christian Charity, we remain.

We invite all Catholics of Irish birth or descent to seek admittance to the FINEST Irish Catholic organization in the World — all we would ask is for you to live by our motto of: "Friendship, Unity, and Christian Charity”.

“ May the Lord bless you and keep you!
May the Lord smile upon you
and be gracious to you!
May the Lord look upon you with
kindness and grant you His peace.
The Lord bless you!”
(Numbers 6:24)

Féadfaidh an Tiarna bless tú, agus tú a choinneáil!
Féadfaidh an Tiarna aoibh gháire ar tú
agus a bheith gracious a thabhairt duit!
Féadfaidh an Tiarna breathnú ar tú leis
cineáltas agus deontas tú a suaimhneas.
An Tiarna bless tú!
(Uimhreacha 06:24)
